Mimin Otogami (
Etymology[]
- Her name is Mimin, from which the syllable Mi comes from the note mi being the third note in the major scale representing Mimin as the third sibling of the Otogami septuples.
Appearance[]
Mimin has exceptionally long, wavy green hair. She typically wears it loose, but occasionally ties it into a ponytail. Her eyes are the same color as her hair, and take on a pattern of piano keys when she uses her genius. She is the fourth tallest and the fourth shortest of her siblings, landing in the middle of their heights[1].
Like all of her siblings besides Lucky Sonoda, Mimin wore earrings in the shape of polyhedrons, and a black multi-band ring set with a jewel similar to her earrings. Her ring was worn on the pinky finger of her right hand. She left these behind when she ran away from home, and currently wears bow-shaped earrings instead.
Personality[]
Mimin is a recalcitrant individual. She does not listen to advice no matter how many times one gives it[2], and even threatened to bite her father, Gakuon's fingers off if he hit her again.[3] This uncooperative attitude is because her free spirited nature that does not want to be restricted or reviewed under a system.[4] This free spirited nature extends beyond just playing the piano, and to her daily life from loudly expressing herself, to simply doing what she wants no matter how rude it may be perceived - whether that be breaking into somewhere uninvited[5] or touching someone they just met without their permission.[6]
Mimin is very ambitious; this combined with her strong will, stubbornness, and lack of regard for "rules" makes it really hard for someone to stop her from striving towards her goals no matter how small or big they may be.
Mimin can be very vindictive. When Ako Furusu criticized Mimin's freestyle playing, she became very angry and then decided to play the same song as Furusu in the Student Music Concours of Japan competition just to spite her despite having chosen another song to play when entering.[7]
